Elizabeth Frenette was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island in 1977. She has loved books and music since close to birth, and has had a fraught relationship with eggs for about the same duration. She began writing stories at the age of 8, although she still has not finished most of them. She completed a Bachelor of Music from Mount Allison University, during which she realized that her goal of teaching music was not, in fact, her dream. She held various jobs generally in more service-oriented roles, moved to Winnipeg on a whim (where she still resides), developed a pervasive obsession with dragonflies, and is currently employed by the government of Canada in the field of Information Management. She continues to play French Horn, Piano, and conduct. She also likes to start cross stitch projects, but isn’t very good at finishing them, either. She reads voraciously, and has no trouble reaching the end of books, although that happens too quickly for her tastes most times.
